The Umstead

William B. Umstead was a former Senator and Governor of the state of North Carolina. The William B. Umstead State Park, next to our property, is an oasis of nature and tranquility that allow you to escape the pressures of everyday life. The Umstead is a pampering, anti-stress experience. You will begin with a Body Polish to nourish and revitalize the health of your skin, followed by a relaxing Aromatherapy Massage.
Whitewater Falls

Whitewater Falls is the highest waterfall east of the Rockies and is located right here in North Carolina. In the cool, moist shade of steep slopes and rock cliffs, nature is alive and well. This Whitewater Falls experience combines the benefits of water and a moisturizing emollient, to calm and refresh you. The Whitewater Falls includes a Body Glow and The Umstead Spa Customized Massage.
The Gorges

Gorges State Park is a rare wonder in North Carolina. It was named for its sheer rock walls, rugged river gorges and plunging waterfalls. It is not for the faint of heart, so gentlemen… this package is just for you. You begin with a relaxing Sports Massage to take away your aches and pains. The finishing touch is a Gentlemen’s Facial to soothe away any remaining tension and get you ready for the rest of your day.

Stone Mountain

Stone Mountain is a magnificent 600-foot granite dome located in one of North Carolina’s state parks. Sunlight and shadows dance across a broad tapestry of stone in this oasis of natural beauty. Our Stone Mountain experience is a combination of a full body Hot Stone Massage followed by a sublime European Facial, for an almost ethereal Spa experience.
Do It Wright

A dream of flight brought Wilbur and Orville Wright to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, where after four years of experimentation, they achieved the first successful airplane flight in 1903. What they achieved changed our world forever. We want to change your world for the day. This is the ultimate in pampering. The day will include a full body sugar scrub to reveal healthy and refreshed skin, a Customized Full Body Massage, a renewing Thermal Water Facial, an Umstead Spa Manicure and a Classic Pedicure. This package is created just for you because you have the opportunity to design it. This custom built package allows you to choose the treatments you want to experience. Pick three or more spa treatments for the day and receive 10% off your complete session.

As a member of Leading Spas of the World, select one of our spa packages from our exclusive list and allow The Umstead Hotel and Spa to handle every detail for a perfect experience. Package rates vary due to availability and your room or suite selection.
The Umstead Spa Credit
Pamper yourself by customizing a package that fits your needs. Whether for one night or multiple nights, this package includes a $200 spa credit each day of your stay. Upon arrival to your accommodation receive a special in room amenity compliments of The Umstead Spa. Enjoy a 3:00 pm checkout on your day of departure to relax or leisurely stroll through the hotel to view our beautiful commissioned artwork.
Leading Ladies Spa Getaway
This package includes a one night stay in one of our deluxe accommodations along with a Timeless Trio Spa Package and Lunch in the Spa. (Lunch includes gratuity and taxes.)
Leading Spa for Two
This package includes a two night stay in one of our luxurious accommodations, a Tassage for Two Spa treatment, a $100 credit in our signature restaurant - Herons, choice of red, white or sparkling wine, chocolate-covered strawberries, a long-stemmed rose and breakfast for two each morning in Herons or Private Dine in your room. Relax and enjoy an extended check-out time of 3pm on your day of departure.
